Terms of Use
Last updated: August 20, 2026
Acceptance of terms
By downloading or using TakeOne, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use TakeOne. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these terms — or, if you're between 13 and the age of majority in your location, that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to them on your behalf.
The app
TakeOne is a camera and teleprompter app for iOS. A free tier is available with a limited number of scripts and recordings; TakeOne Pro unlocks additional recording, camera, and script capabilities.
Subscriptions & purchases
- Monthly Pro subscription: $9.99/month
- Annual Pro subscription: $79.99/year
- Lifetime Access (one-time, non-renewing): $299.99
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Monthly and Annual subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. Lifetime Access is a one-time purchase that does not renew and is not eligible for subscription-style cancellation because it does not recur.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policies, not directly by TakeOne.
Your content
Scripts and recordings you create remain yours. TakeOne does not claim ownership over your content and, since content is stored locally on your device, does not have access to it.
Your responsibility when recording
TakeOne records video and audio using your device's camera and microphone. You are solely responsible for what you record and for having any consent required to record it — including consent from anyone else who appears or is audible in your recordings. Laws about recording other people (including audio-recording consent requirements) vary by location, and it's your responsibility to comply with them. TakeOne has no visibility into what you record, since content stays on your device, and takes no responsibility for how you use the app to record or what you do with the resulting content.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use TakeOne for any unlawful purpose, to record anyone without the consent required by applicable law, or in a way that violates Apple's App Store guidelines.
Termination
You may stop using TakeOne at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these terms, including the Acceptable Use section above. Because the app doesn't use accounts, “access” in practice means the app may refuse to function or may be removed from distribution — content already stored locally on your device is unaffected by termination, since we never had access to it.
Disclaimer & limitation of liability
TakeOne is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TakeOne is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including loss of recorded content, or arising from how you use the app to record — including recording other people.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold TakeOne and LiteApps Company harmless from any claim, damages, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your recordings, or your violation of these terms — including claims made by third parties you recorded without proper consent.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE/COUNTRY OF INCORPORATION — TO BE FILLED IN], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where Apple's own terms with you require otherwise for App Store purchases.
Apple App Store terms
These terms are between you and TakeOne/LiteApps Company only — Apple is not a party to them. However, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and Apple has the right to enforce them against you. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price if applicable — Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, or claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation. Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any claim that the app or your possession/use of it infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
